Hey, I just got two notifications saying that "social engineering" URL threats were blocked, and it's made me a bit anxious. I'm doing scans with AVG and other antiviruses (malwarebytes and eset online scanner), because I don't understand if it's something i now have or just something that was in fact blocked. (And to be honest, I don't know how much I trust AVG when it says it's blocked.)
I tried researching it and going to the links AVG provided, but they weren't helpful and told me nothing about what it was or whether it was on my computer or just a blocked url. And I can't find the notification now that I've closed out of it, it's nowhere in my archives or virus vault or anything.
Basically, what can I do to make sure I'm alright and virus-free, because AVG isn't helping right now and it was just a really vague "look your antivirus did something" popup.
