"Some components needs update" although it is up to date

I have the same issue, although yesterday AVG was fine. Today I don't know whether it's active or not??? I'm on Windows 10, AVG internet security fully paid edition.

I cannot afford to have my work interrupted for the couple of hours it's going to take to uninstall (when I can 'eventually' track down a working copy of the remover tool - AVG hides it so well) and then reinstall (if I can find an install edition which matches mine, and doesn't hide the 'custom install' button so that I'm inflicted with the useless AVG firewall, and have to start the whole process again.

Uninstall and re-install is an unacceptible solution for paying customers to fix an obvious issue with the latest AVG update.

Hello,
We regret for the inconvenience caused to you. Please run repair installation ( avgclick.me/RepairAVG ) of your AVG to update AVG successfully and resolve the issue. Thank you.

Richard, we do not suggest to reinstall the program each time to get the latest version.
Since we have made a major change, updating to the latest version will not be possible from the old version.
The program engine of both the version is completely different.
We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Hello,

same issue here with a lot of customers With AVG Antivirus Strandard (Paid version) and AVG Antivirus Business Edition.

As Phil Wolf said, is an unacceptable answer and solution to remove and resinstall.

Please release as soon a possible a fix.

Thank you.

AVG GUI said "You are not fully protected! Some components needs update." Although I clicked on update, and it said that "You are currently up-to-date." The above warning would still not go away.

I'm on windows 10, AVG free edition.

@Avinash
The product works correctly until some days ago,
Nowhere on the program has it been reported to update to a later version.
The version is 16.

Hello, this issue is occurring if you are using an older version of AVG. Please let us know the version of AVG program installed on your PC.

We did a major change in our AVG engine that is why we can't update the program from the older version.

We suggest customers to completely remove the AVG program and to reinstall the latest version of it, as it is not possible to update from the old version.
