Hi Guy,
We appreciate your efforts in working towards fixing the issue. We understand how difficult it could be identify the emails that are not sent.
Please let us know how you access your email. Is it through browser or email clients such as Outlook, Thunderbird?
As this isn't the usual behavior of AVG, let us initially check if AVG is causing the issue by disabling it temporarily.
To do so : Right click on AVG in system tray (near date & time, at bottom right corner) - Click on toggle bar beside protection to disable it temporarily.
Please try the above step & let us know the outcome. Also, you can re-enable Email scanning as it doesn't cause the issue (if disabled).
Hi. After much checking of Windows 10, and of my email providers portal I can be fairly sure that it is AVG that is losing a few of my emails when I send them. It’s approximately one in 30 that get lost and there is no consistency of person et cetera. As I recently put myself in copy I can see whether it was sent or not and if I send it again 30 seconds later it normally gets through but neither myself nor the receiver gets that first email. Sometimes it takes me three times of sending and just like before the first 2 never arrive.
Please take this question seriously because it is very annoying and I can only know which email is not sent by keeping lists of all those emails I sent and which one do I get a copy back of. But I cannot continue to work this way forever.
Do you know of this problem ? I can imagine that there are reasons for an AV to hold back an email but where is it ? Can I find it anywhere in AVG. I have already switched off any scanning of emails that I send, but the problem remains the same.
Thanks. Guy
