This isn't the expected behavior.
Please open AVG Internet Security program window.
Click on "Menu->About" and check whether it shows 20.5 version.
If yes, restart your computer and check whether the components of AVG Internet Security turns off again.
If yes, please perform repair of AVG Internet Security as mentioned in this article and check the status.

I have clicked on the menu About and the version showing is 20.5.3130. I have also done a repair following the article you suggested. The program has behaved itself for a few days but I logged on to do a scan this morning 25 th July and the Behaviour sheild and Ransomeware were turned off again. I turned them on and have performed a scan which showed everything is okay. Thank you for your help so far have you anymore suggestions for me please.

When I go to scan my computer at mornings some of my protection is switched off example ransomeware etc. and I have to switch them on. I have not switched them off so I feel that I am not secure. Can you please tell me why it keeps doing this. I scan my computer and everything is okay. Windows 10
