Some programs no longer work

Hello,

I hope someone can lead me to fix some issues.  I had bought the AVG Performance subscription for a Dell laptop that I have running Windows XP.  I had a couple of issues pop up and decided to uninstall and cancel the subscription.  Now the machine has more issues.  Predominately - I can no longer run any MS Office files or PDFs.  I reinstalled Adobe and still get a message "can not find C://…" file…  Same with Office (Word or Excel).  I've tried to repair the registry and seemed to work once for Office, but after rebooting, it doesn't work…  I'd like not to have to reformat the rebuild the computer if there was a way to get it working again.  Any leads would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi David,

This isn't the usual behavior of AVG Tuneup.
From your description, it seems that you've hibernated MS Office programs while optimizing the computer using TuneUp.
To check this, you can reinstall AVG TuneUp (trial) & check the hibernated apps by following the below steps :
Open AVG TuneUp - Speed Up - Background & startup programs - Scroll down to find 'Programs that are sleeping' - Check if MS Office is listed - If listed, click on Wake & then ignore beside it in the same page.
