Unfortunately the domain in my email address is btinternet.com which is used by almost 50% of my contacts. The spammers use a different email address (for replies) every time. If I block the email address in the "from" field (which is my own, old, virtually never used address), I block mail that is sent or diverted to my new account from the old one. I have now resolved it by moving the mail with my old email address into the Spam folder on the gmail server, and then checking the spam folder once a day. Nevertheless it's incredibly frustrating.
I use MS Office 2010 Outlook for mail. I have suddenly started to receive email claiming to be from a defunct email address of mine, using my name, addressed to me, inviting me to buy health care, Vanquis Credit cards and assorted other services. They are not threatening but they are damned annoying. They are spam but AVG does not seem to identify them as that. I don't seem to be able to delete them using MS Outlook Rules (because I still get mail redirected to me from the old address and do not want redirected mail to be deleted or go unspotted in the Deleted mailbox). and I cannot make head or tail of the settings in my AVG Internet Security 2015 program.
