Hello Ted,
Let's have a look at it together. Your AVG Tuneup Unlimited has been expired few months back and that's why you are receiving that notification.
You can uninstall that expired version from Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Uninstall or you can purchase its features.
If the issue persists, share the screenshot http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Create-screenshot of that popup to check and assist you further.
How do I get you to quit spaming my notification area on the computer on which I used to have AVG PC TuneUp? I get the notification on how I should subscribe to AVG PC TuneUP that I just unscribed from every time I turn on or wake up this computer from being asleep. This is really pissing me off. Your are creating a lot of negative goodwill here and don't seem to know it or just don't care. I make sure to share this fact with all my computer geek friends.
This has costing time incuding exporing your website for a way to get you a message.
Quit doing this to me…!!]
