Spora ransomware

Chris,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns. The AVG is usually able to deal with infection causing encryption but not able to decrypt already encrypted files. It means, AVG will detect and notify you about the threat detected but it is not possible to recover already encrypted files. Due to the arrival of new threats and infections we have updating our AVG security program with high new security patches and updates to enhance the computer security for every 4 hours. Thank you!

Hello. Does anyone know if AVG is effective for finding and removing the spora ransomware virus. Thanks.
Hello. But it's for sure that AVG cleans the Spora ransomware? I have AVG installed in my lap, it didn't detected the encryption of my files, didn't warn me or detected the threatm and I am concerned if I can trust in AVG for clean the infection (I understand that it can not decrytp the already encrypted files). AVG is going to clean my infection? Thank you

Hello Chris,
Sorry to know that your system files are encrypted by Spora ransomware.
AVG will detect and remove the Ransomeware threats even though it cannot decrypt the files.
Although these are not official AVG recommendations, the following article may help you to recover earlier copies of your files:
