SQL not working when I joint the Avg network with my account

Hello Cary,
We apologize for the inconvenience. Could you please let us know what AVG version you have installed? Is it 2016 or 2017? Please disable Firewall component and then check the status of your network.
'Thank you.

SQL is not starting up for my app that's using it.
This took some time to figure out it was not a Windows update.
Signed out of network removed AVG, rebooted, installed Free trial of AVG Ultimate and  walah it worked after reboot.
So I figured it needed Ultimate and not just security, yep I bought Ultimate and once it arrived ( no CD just card) I downloaded ( because I could not find where to put in the key code) and installed Ultimate - reboot - test. Broken broken broken.
Signed out of AVG network, reboot and walah I now have access to the program that uses SQL.
So my question is how to I configure AVG to stop interfering with SQL programs so I can use my paid version of AVG?

Thank you

  1. And this is on a local machine. It is not a shared database.
    Its for the Maximizer app.
Works fine on the 2017 free version.

Hello Cary,
Thank you for the information. Please follow the instructions to change the Firewall settings to fix the issue : Open AVG Zen -> Internet Security -> Click on Menu in the top right corner -> Settings -> Components -> Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> Change the networks from Public to Private (If it is in Private, change it to Public)

Thank you.
