This issue should have happened due to an error with the update.
The best solution is to reinstall the program using the removal tools.
Run AVG removal tool followed by Clear tool as mentioned (here).
NOTE: If there are no AVG program found, click on "Run Anyway" to proceed with the removal.
I see that your license for AVG Internet Security (1 computer) got auto renewed recently and also you have subscribed for AVG Internet Security - Unlimited (2 years subscription) product.
Both the products are similar and the only difference is that, Unlimited Devices product doesn't have a license number. Its activation is only by entering AVG my account credentials.
Would you like to get refund for AVG Internet Security (1 computer) and use AVG Internet Security unlimited devices subscription?
After download I click on the icon and it keeps telling me the free version has expired. I have tried to run the new software but it tells me I already have the latest version.
