Still having issues removing "your internet security trial has expired"

Howdy!

I had recently had some major issues with my AVG software. at some point in the past, i started the trial for pro by mistake, and it ran out, ever since, i had been unable to scan my pc. now, i HAVE already followed the tutorial of running AVG clear and AVG removal, and downgrading it to free (A FULLY fresh reinstall), yet i am still stuck with the "your trial has expired" screen upon trying to scan.

All other solutions that were posted on this issue have not worked for me, and while i know my pc is clean, i do want to get the scanning up and running again asap.

List of things i had tried so far:

-removing components using AVG clear
-removing components using AVG remover
-removing all traces i could find after doing the above
-reinstalling AVG free antvirus


And after all the above and a fresh install, i still have the "your internet trial has expired" notice whenever i try to scan using AVG free. I am at a loss as to what i can even do at this point, i don't see why this notice should block AVG's base features. (protection is still enabled from the looks of it, i just can't access the scan).

Can somebody break this brick wall i just hit?
