Hello Kat,
I am sorry for the loss. We do have an option to find the stolen mobile but not the computer. I would request you to track your computer with the ip address.
I have AVG on my computer and it was recently stolen. I have filed a police report and checked the local pawn shops, cash advance places, and game stores that buy electronics. I don't have my serial # and was wondering if AVG would have it to give the police department since I have AVG installed on the computer that was stolen. I got the computer in 2012 and only kept my box til the warranty expired but I had to put in the information when I registered my device. Either way, yes or no, could someone please let me know so I can check this off my list of to-do's.
How would I find my ip address if I never bothered to write that info down before? I'm not the biggest on computer information or programming so I don't really know how to locate these things. Is there something that I can do now that I don't have it to find the ip and give that to the police department?
I think that all came out wrong. Sorry. I don't know how to find a computer's IP address. I should have stated: how do you find an ip address for a computer.
Kat, you can ask your Internet Service provider to find the ip address and provide it to the police.
