No, I won't send you a screenshot. My patience is wearing thin with your company and your literal, "We don't know what's going on." attitude. Are you screenshot collectors? Is that your fetish? Seriously, if you can't understand the language, at least try google translate. I'll help…
Your program, AVG anti-virus, keeps installing an unwanted shortcut to our desktops when we restart our computers or update the AVG program. Stop It. If we wanted a shortcut on our desktops, WE are aware of how to put them there. If we wanted to remove a shortcut from our desktops, WE know how to do that. What we want from AVG is for your program to STOP adding a shortcut where it's not wanted.
Is that understood?
Hi Nguyen,
This isn't the experience we want you to have.
As we're uncertain about the exact shortcut to which you refer, would you be so kind to share us the screenshot of it for better clarity?
Also, let us know if you're using AVG Free antivirus. Reason being, we're unable to find any subscription under the email address that you've used to reach us.
Several times a day, AVG adds a shortcut to my – or more specifically, the public – desktop (C:\Users\Public\Desktop). Why?! How do I stop this? It is getting very annoying to have to delete the shortcut all the time.
Thanks,

Hi Michael.
Which AVG product are you using?
If you are a paid user of AVG, please contact our technical team (https://support.avg.com/support_tech_chat?l=en) or post your own query.

Dinesh,
What I mean is this:
It seems to me that the shortcut is created every time Windows or AVG is updated (there has been a slew of Windows updates in the last couple of days).

Thank you for sharing us the screenshot, Nguyen.
Upon checking it, we see that you're concerned about the AVG's desktop icon. Usually, most of the applications would create a shortcut icon on your desktop after they're installed. It is for the ease of access. You can double click on them to open the prograrm.
However, we see that you're using a business product. To ensure this, provide us the email address registered with AVG via email that has been sent to you.
