Stop Auto Ram Boost

Lately when I take my phone out of "lock screen mode" the AVG Ram Boost feature is already running. This is without my having started it before or after bringing the phone out of lock screen. Why would this feature "AUTOSTART" while phone is in lock screen mode

Peter,

Boost RAM Kill any apps running in the background of your device. This action prevents your apps from slowing down your device and draining your battery. When complete, the amount of freed space and number of killed apps is displayed.

This feature works only when you tap on the feature. If you are not satisfied with the feature, you can ignore using this. Unfortunately, we don't have settings to disable this feature.

My HTC M9 has started killing everything with Auto Ram Boost and I can not complete tasks. I assume I must have (accidently?) pressed something to make this happen, but I need it to stop. How do I end Auto Ram Boost.
