Stop AVG Tuneup Popup Ads (I have tried to do so in settings)

I recently changed from Ultimate to Internet Security which means I no longer have AVG Tuneup. The problem is that I'm getting AVG Tuneup popup ads almost every day which is unacceptable. I have set all popup windows to zero accept Alerts.  Under Privacy I have unchecked "Show offers for our products and for other 3rd party products".  I am at a loss what to do next, it almost seems like there is a cookie or something which is activating these AVG Tuneup popups. I have most recent Internet Security. PLEASE HELP stop the Tuneup ads !

Hello Guy,
We will help you sort it out. Please go to control panel > program and features > look for AVG TuneUp program, if there, uninstall it.
You can also uncheck the box " show pop up offers for other AVG Products " from AVG Internet Security > Menu > settings > Privacy to stop the promotional pop ups.
