I think I am with you 100% on this one. I cannot even get the TuneUP to work properly, and am always confused … is it registered? If it is, then why do I keep getting all this spam/popups to buy it, when I already HAVE?! I am half satisfied and half pissed off. The duplicate file deletion is great … IF IT WORKED RIGHT!!! I think I may join you in simply demanding a refund and getting ALL AVG stuff off my laptop. It is false advertising. It does NOT do what it says it will do! And while trying, it clogs up your device to the point where you gotta do a cold boot! NOT GOOD. It's either a BSOD or too close to it to make me comfortable.
Had the same problem when I delayed renewal of PC Tuneup. Right in the middle of watching a movie the damn pop up to renew, buy now would nearly fill the screen. Then I started having problems getting my computer to boot up. It started taking longer and longer just to get through the boot up routine. Sometimes it hangs up and more than an hour later it is clear PC Tuneup has bombed the start up routine. Even after the program was removed the problem won't go away.
I bought AVG and tried the PC tuneup 24hr trial. Ever since then your service bombards me with "buy now" and everytime I try to close the window more "buy now" windows open until eventually they stop. I cannot tell you how incredibly disapointed I am with my purchase. How do I stop these unwanted windows from spamming me with buy-now, because all I really want to do is get a refund and try another product.
