The strange blue circle is still a problem, is this bug being fixed?
This is the second attempt to post this question. The first one hilariously resulted in one request for the tech to remote to my computer, then two separate requests for a screen shot. Then 'repair' the installation. I eventually reinstalled the application as well. The problem is not my computer or installation, there is a problem with the application itself. AVG Free, with ANIMATED SYSTEM TRAY ICON selected. Now, WHEN there is a new "notification" - which previously simply listed the notification in the list in the program that you could refer to when you wanted to and clear as you wanted to, NOW a strange large blue circle appears OVER the system tray icon, AND DOES NOT GO AWAY UNTIL YOU CLEAR THE NOTIFICATION FROM THE LIST, SO the ONLY way to get rid of the strange blue circle is to have ZERO notifications in the notification list. That is messed up, and very annoying. I have a screen shot to post but cannot find a way to include it in this post.

Upon checking the provided screenshot, we see that AVG notification settings needs to be modified.
To do so : Open AVG Antivirus - Menu - Settings - General - Notifications - Enable 'Use silent mode & the option beneath it'.
Please try the above step & let us know if it helps.
