Hello Diana. A Legacy Driver is a software routine used to support an older peripheral interface. Before the USB interface became ubiquitous, PCs had several types of sockets that are no longer found on modern machines. I would request you to contact Microsoft support regarding this.
A window pops up every time I turn on the computer saying, "Hardware Installation. The software you are installing for this hardware: Legacy Driver, has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP. Continuing your installation of this software may impair or destabilize the correct operation of your system wether immediately or in the future. Microsoft srongly recommends that you stop this installation now and contact the hardware vendor for software that has passed Windows Logo testing. [Continue Anyway] or [STOP installation]. I always hit STOP installation but I don't know what hardware I was installing. I've re-installed a lot of programs recently because I had to rebuild my computer. Do you know what Legacy Driver is and is it safe?
