Strange script appearing on pop up screen

Hello, yes Defender is in operation/ turned on. I will switch it off.

However Defender warned me in the past for threats an/or Trojans where AVG did not warn me.
I have also worked a few months without AVG, because I was advised that yo did not need an external virus program, and Windows Defender was enough protection.
AVG gave me many warnings that my PC was unorganized and slow, ALSO when I had a NEW PC!! And these kind of messages were SO ANNOYING that I decided to do without AVG for a time. (Although I still have a contract till next year)

Sincerely,
Jan

Hello Jan,

We are sorry to know this.
Please confirm whether Windows defender is turned on or not. If yes, please turn it off as it will get conflict with AVG.
Also we could see that you have AVG program running on your computer.
Initially, you can be rest assured that your computer would be protected against emerging threats, with AVG installed on it.
Please share us the screenshot of it (if you have it with you) for better clarity.
For taking a screenshot, please refer this article: https://bit.ly/3fnURQ7
Usually, AVG detects & notifies, if it finds a file/url to be malicious. However, AVG will block the file from being downloaded or site being reached on your browser. This shows that AVG will not let the file/url to affect your computer.
Thank you.

Hello everybody,
this is my first time on this forum. And I have a question.
This week I was a little bit naughty and tried to download a few magazines from a Torret site.
Windows Defender warned me about a Trojan. Sorry, I forgot to write down the name.
I did everything that Windows Defender advised me to do and also ran AVG with a deep scan.
However, since that time I see "flashing" windows appearing d disappearing on the screen. Witth some kind of script. This morning I succeeded in catching one.

The script says the following:

C:\WINDOWS\system32>mhsta vbscript:Execute(“CreateObject(“”WScript.shell””).Run “”powershell –ExecutionPolicy Bypass &
C:\UsersPublic\about\3.ps1’””, 0:close”)

QUESTION:
Is this good or bad? What does it mean? Where does it come from?
Thank you for your help!!!!
Sincerely,
Jan

Hello Jan,

Thank you for sharing the screenshot.
Nothing to worry, it is just an script message and not threat detection.
To turn Microsoft Defender Firewall on or off:
Select the Start button > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security and then Firewall & network protection.
Open Windows Security settings.
Select a network profile.
Under Microsoft Defender Firewall, switch the setting to On. …
To turn it off, switch the setting to Off.
Independent tests prove that both software provide excellent anti-malware security, but AVG is better than Windows Defender in terms of the impact on system performance. AVG is the overall winner as it offers more security-enhancing features and utilities in its security suites than Windows Defender.
Thank you.
