Hello Haroon,

We'll certainly look into this & help you.
Initially, we request you to share us the screenshot of the pop-up/message you received from AVG Internet Security saying that a threat has been blocked or communication blocked.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on Answer & then click on the Image [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Thanks in advance.

I contacted Sidefx and they told me to allow hserver.exe and sesinetd.exe, I did a full computer search for where they are stored and I found them in System 32 and SysWOW64, yesterday it said that Windows was managing my firewall before I updated my AVG, so I tried creating a bunch of inbound rules.

Today, I came back and it said that AVG is my firewall now, I tried adding some programs and ports to the windows firewall but it still isn't working.

Houdini Apprentice is a free solution from Side Fx to their paid versions, maybe you guys can try installing it and whitelisting it from your servers maybe?

If you want anymore information about my problem let me know, I was very confused and did a lot of tinkering, so I may have messed up a lot of things.

Thanks for trying to help but no popup was ever given at any point in time, so I uninstalled AVG and let windows firewall take care of it, I reinstalled AVG and Houdini now works, I got the free 2 month subscription of AVG, hopefully it won't mess up Houdini when my AVG expires.
