Hi Bernard.
We'll certainly look into this. Do you think an AVG product has caused this? Could you explain what exactly happened before your PC went into this state?
Bought and installed the AVG Tune-Up this morning. Was working through the varous states. Last area was scanning & repairing the drives. G drive went fine. After moving on to C, it became stuck at 11%. Seems common from this forum.
There are lots of links to solutions, but they loop back to the Search Support start page.
What am I doing wrong here?
My PC is also stuck on 11% and I can't find the answers.

Glad to hear that you appear to be sorted, Bernard.
If you need anything else, do not hesitate to let us know.
Appreciate the details and we regret the inconvenience caused. When you Check hard disk for errors and select Thorough analysis, your computer restarts and the disk check runs during startup. In rare cases, the disk check stops mid-progress and may appear unresponsive, typically at around 27%. If this happens, we recommend following the steps below:
- Allow up to 2 hours for the disk check to complete.
- If the disk check remains unresponsive after this time, restart your PC.
- During reboot, you see a prompt to skip the disk check. This prompt appears for 1 second only, so we recommend pressing the SPACE key repeatedly during reboot to skip analysis.
- Download the CheckDisk mod tool. This ensures that AVG TuneUp does not attempt to continue the disk check next time you start up your PC.
- Run the downloaded tool, then click Continue.
- The Work done dialog appears.
Disk check during startup is now disabled.
