Subscription cancellation or refund

Hello all,

my subscription for AVG Internet Security was recently renewed without my consent. I do not use the machine anymore on which the product was installed, which is why I didn’t receive a reminder for the renewal. Also, when I received notice via mail, it was already too late to cancel the renewal!
I am somehow not able to request a refund in my AVG account and support doesn’t answer me.

I was able to cancel the subscription, but it will last for another two full years, which is illegal according to German law (see: New German law makes companies offer shorter contracts and easier cancellations ).
I should at least be able to end the subscription at the end of the next month.

So, I kindly ask for a refund (or at the very least a cancellation at the end of the next month), because I wasn’t notified, didn’t want the renewal, haven’t used the product yet and also don’t intend on using it in the future.

PS: Did I mention the price now is over 90€ for a period of only one year, whereas it was under 60€ for TWO years before. And I didn’t even receive an information regarding that…

Either Facebook messenger or X is the best way to get a hold of them. Calling their customer support is futile

Contact your card or payment provider and notify them that you did not and do not wish to purchase these products and thus this is an unauthorised transaction. Take screenshots where possible.
