I have to say that I have been a LONG time user of both free and paid versions of AVG and I really love the product.  HOWEVER, I'm getting pretty upset at the constant money grabs that are taking place within the software.  It's obnoxious and really tempting me to look around for another long term protection solution.

My current frustration?  I cancelled my Internet Security subscription because I don't see a lot of point to just having that over the Ultimate subscription but I'm currently not in a position to pay for a full year out of pocket.  SO, I'm going back to the Free protection for a bit.  Since I MANUALLY decided to cancel the automatic renewal, AVG pops up EVERY TIME I sit down to my computer to tell me that my subscription is about to expire.  I KNOW!!  I MADE THAT CHOICE!!

My antivirus should only be popping up if there's an issue/threat or if it did a major update and needs to restart my machine.  THAT'S IT.  STOP PUSHING ME FOR MONEY!!!
