My father had an AVG subscription fee on his charge account that was registered on August 13, 2019. My parents haven't used AVG software for at least 3 or 4 years.  I thought my father had let the subscription expire when we had removed it from his computer. I checked their email account, and the last email that they received from AVG was in 2015.  Apparently instead of expiring the account, it got registered as a continuous subscription.   I followed the link in the old email for cancelling a continuous subscription, and my dad did receive an automatic email back saying it was cancelled now.  

So, I'm trying to confirm that any AVG subscription under my father's name/email address is definitely cancelled now.  Also, I'm trying to find out if my parents can get a refund for the most recent charge in August 2019 since they have been paying for something they haven't used for years.
