Hello Robert,
We are sorry for the difficulties you underwent while trying to reach us/cancelling the service.
We will take your comments as a feedback for consideration in future.
We are charging 15 days before the expiry date, so that customers will have a continuous protection without any interruption in service or security. The renewal notification email contains information on date of charge and "How to cancel your subscription" before being charged by AVG.
As auto-renewal service wasn't cancelled successfully, you have been charged for the renewal on Nov 13, 2019. It looks like you were trying to cancel the service after this renewal.
Unfortunately, we don't have an option to offer a partial refund. If you prefer, we will help you activating the AVG Secure VPN on your device.
You can always reach us by dialing the below toll free numbers:

Thank you.
I tried to cancel my AVG VPN subscription on 13 Nov. 2019 (or 2 weeks prior to original expiry of 27 Nov.). Unfortunately, I couldn' t find any e-mail address in AVG' s website to which I could write in order to request non-renewal. Why does AVG make it so difficult for customers to communicate with the company?
When I eventually logged on to my AVG account, I found an unsubscribe button below my AVG VPN subscription. Upon clicking UNSUBSCRIBE, I only saw an option to keep my subscription that already had a default tick mark. In any case, below this were 2 buttons (CANCEL & CONFIRM) - I clicked latter believing that this was to confirm the fact that I had clicked the UNSUBSCRIBE button earlier. Then my credit card was suddenly billed the following day by AVG for a 1-year renewal at full price. Why does AVG make it so difficult for customers to cancel their subscription?
Now that I have been charged for renewal (even if did not really want this), the screen that appears whenever I click on the AVG VPN icon shows that my subscription is expired. If I click REACTIVATE, the next screen shows me a selection of prices that I should pay (depending on renewal period). What shall I do to make use of my forced subscription that has already been charged to my credit card without my consent?
Also, how can I avail of a discounted price (via partial refund) since this renewal was done by AVG through what seemed like highly deceitful means?
