The renewal notification email was regarding your old AVG Internet Security (1 computer) license which is going to expire on 16th June 2018. Your recent payment was not for the renewal of existing license but a for new 2 years subscription.
I'd like to assure that, your new AVG Internet Security - Unlimited (2 year subscription) was paid successfully and active. Kindly ignore the renewal notification email you received.
Also, if you are not aware, AVG Internet Security - Unlimited does not require a license as it is activated using your registered email address and password.

On 22 May 2018 I renewed my annual subscription with a 2 year renewal, costing £39.99. This payment has been confirmed on my latest bank statement. Why am I receiving emails reminding me to renew my subscription by 16 June 2018 15 days time?
