Subscription Renewed Without Notification

I received notification that my method of payment was charged for a renewal of AVG TuneUp.  I received no communication from AVG that this subscription was about to expire so was given no opportunity to cancel before I was charged again. My subscription agreement does allow for continuous renewal BUT I thought I would receive notice it was due to expire.  You can cancel although I haven't figured out how.  The instructions they referred to were not there.  But you still won't get a refund for what you've already paid.  Has anyone else had this problem?  I'd like to hear from AVG.  This is not a customer friendly way to do business.
