Firstly, let us know how you access your emails. Do you access them via an email client program or using a web browser?
Secondly, have you tried changing the location/server of your AVG Secure VPN & check if the issue persists?

The problem is the VPN - if I turn it off I can download.  Previously had no problems.  Anyone have any ideas what has changed this week?  I can still send, with VPN on.  Weird.

I use Thunderbird.  I can access using webmial but dont want to.  Til a couple of days ago I could download and send, with the VPN active.  SUddenly I can't download without turning VPN off.
Strange.  When I got VPN the only Australian option was Melbourne.  I just changed it to Perth and it worked.  Can you explain why?  I was trying to download from Bigpond.
