Hi, I was hacked not all that long ago and thought I was connected to a genuine "help desk" (which I eventualy sorted and got rid of) but in the process of their "conning advice" I was informed that my AVG security that I have installed was not suitable for Windows Vista (which I have), only for Windows XP. These people wanted to dismantle it and reinstal something else ( for a cost of $109.95 payable immediately) I am not very computer savvy but knew enough to know I was being conned so terminated the connection.
I guess what I want to know is whether or not my current AVG is ok for Vista.
Another question … I recently had a hard drive meltdown and needed a new one installed. Does this affect my current AVG installation which isn't due for renewal until Nov 2016
Any advice is appreciated
