Support and firewall

Hello Suzanna,
I am really sorry to know this. I have sent you an email with instruction to get connected with our technical support team. Please follow those instructions to get in touch with them and you should be able to resolve your issue. Thank you.

Thanks you for your reply.  Yes the AVG was uninstalled by the Dell operater and after this the internet worked fine.  My question is (and the question Dell asked me to ask AVG) is why was AVG the problem?  I have tried several times to fill in the technical support form, but after Ive filled it in it will not continue, the only way to continue is to take the link to the paid support site ($9.99 per month) hence my first post at the top of this page.

Suzanna, 1st things 1st… You shouldn't have Windows Defender & AVG on the same system. Have a look @ this article (http://avgclick.me/prepareforAVGinstall). Also have a look @ this article (http://avgclick.me/SupportContacts).

Hello Suzanna,
Please let us know whether you have uninstalled the AVG program and then please check whether internet is working after uninstalling AVG. I suggest you to have a look at this article http://avgclick.me/SupportContacts to contact AVG Technical support.
Thank you.

Firstly, is it actually possible to get through to customer support for AVG without paying 9.99 dollars per month?

I have a two year subscription for AVG and about two weeks ago its firewall stopped me from accessing the internet.  I had a Dell premium subscription and they sorted it out from the Dell computer aspect and said that AVG was the problem and to contact AVG directly - Ive been trying to do that but seem to go round in circles.

I like AVG (well I did) and now I have the free version of Windows Defender instead.  Any advice comments?

thanks!

Hello Suzanna,
You are welcome. Please feel free to contact us for any further assistance.
Thank you.

Thank you for your reply.  I know that I shouldnt run the two antivirus together on the same system and as far as I know I was not, During the "repair session" the Dell operative uninstalled AVG and downloaded Windows defender (or activated it).  I had never had a problem with AVG before about two weeks ago then all of a sudden I couldnt access the internet, so I went via the Dell premium service for help.  They told me the porblem was AVG but could not tell me why, they told me to ask AVG directly to see why.  I will read the articles suggested, thank you very much. Zanna
