Guys
Thank you for your assistance. I have had to put the issue on hold, for a while. Due to the age of my machine and my snail-paced internet, the last time I had your guys help, they were very p****d off with me. I have bought the planned new machine, which I am currently setting up. Also planning to get a better internet connection and then I shall get you guys to sort the issue out on the old machine.
Thanks and regards
Dennis
Hello Dennis,
You will receive some advertisement popups if some of the adware programs have got installed on your computer unknowingly while trying to install any other programs.
You can remove this easily, first go to control panel and click on Programs and Features and in the list of programs search for any tool bar or search bar or any weird programs installed in your computer. If you see some suspicious program please uninstall it.
If you don't see any of such programs then please open your browser and you need to delete the unwanted plugin, extension, toolbar or search bar that is installed in your browser. After removing such things you wont be getting any popups when you browse the internet.
We always recommend you to install only trusted programs and do custom installation to view if any unwanted software is being installed.
Please feel free to contact us should you need any further assistance.
Thank you.
Guys
I appear to have somehow downloaded a virus which AVG does not identify.
It appears to be linked to the sudden appearence of Bing on my machine, a new drop down search box which tries to take me to playbar.wiz and a pop-up screen, perporting to come from Microsoft.
I have a screen grab of the message, but I don't appear to be able to insert it into this message.
Regards
Dennis
