Suspicious looking password prompt

Oh, alright. Sorry about that. This is what I saw…
Popup

I have just previously updated AVG Antivirus FREE, and I'm a little concerned about the new password prompt which shows up when accessing settings. If anyone could verify that this is secure, and not hijacked by some virus, I'd love you for it.

Whew... Thanks...
It's good to know that I can rely on AVG not only in security, but in such friendly support as well

Again, thank you for the help! : )
Thanks for the details.

May I know when do you receive the prompt to enter password?

The prompt shows up when I try to access the settings for AVG, it looks similar to the previous prompt, but the prompt is completely different from before…

We are sorry for the confusion.

From the screenshot, we could see that you have received the authorization password to access the AVG program.

It is a genuine popup from AVG. Please enter the password to access the program.
