Hi, I used the avg remover tool.  There were a number of "failed" messages scrolling by the DOS screen while it worked.  I had to reboot once and then it never provided a message saying it had finished.  

In any case, when I went to install avg 64 bit, it failed on installation.  I'm attaching a screen shot of the error message and the cab file it produced.

I am running AVG free version 2015.0.6176
I have started to see pop-up notifications in my system tray with logging on, as well as pop-ups when I open a brower (Chrome).  
In "advanced settings", I have tried to check off "system tray notifications", but when I hit "apply" or

OK", I get the following error:  "An error occurred when saving the configuration: Specified file was not found".

What does this mean?  And how do I turn off system tray pop-up notifications?
