In order to fix this issue, please follow the below steps,
1. Open the Firefox browser >Go to menu - Options (settings) - Home.
2. Under the "Homepage and new windows", select custom URLs and enter your preferred search engine/website that you wish to have on a default home page. For example, you can add the https://www.google.com/.
3. Close and reopen the Firefox browser.
4. Check whether it helps.

hi hari, please be informed that i managed to follow your instructions and the problem i now fixed. i understand now that the problem was with frefox being changed as default to tab home. i must admit i could not have found that this was the case with my limited undeestanding but did see on my pc that google/fiefox was default but not on firefox itself if that makes sense. thank you hari and to those who tried to help. ps i recall rhe name hari as a person in the foundation series of sifi books as hari sheldon.
