Hello, taskeng.exe[1736] keeps getting flagged as a threat, this is a component of a Windows system and I suspect it’s a false positive.
Please advise how to avoid this window popping up, it does it twice one after another probably evry 48 hours or so.

I’ve seen similar false-positive alerts with Windows system processes. Since taskeng.exe is a legitimate Windows component, it would be helpful to confirm whether AVG is detecting the genuine system file or a suspicious process using the same name. Hopefully there’s a way to stop the repeated alerts once the file has been verified as safe.

Unfortunately, the information currently available is not sufficient for us to submit the detection to our Threat Lab for review as a possible false positive.
Could you please provide either:
A screenshot of the detection alert with the Detection ID visible, usually shown at the bottom of the alert; or
An AVG support file, following the instructions in this article. Once the support file has been submitted, please share the File ID generated in Step 5.
This information will help us investigate the detection further.
