Hi Dinesh, thank you. I disabled the enhanced firewall (and windows defender automatically has become the firewall), but it did not work: I am not able to connect to wifi
Hi Vittorio,
We're glad to look into this & help you.
Please disable the enhanced firewall of AVG in the corresponding computer & check if it allows you to connect to wifi.
Regarding the support page, it could be a temporary glitch. Reason being, your request has already landed in the correct channel (here).
Using the same internet access (my home wifi) today (in the past everything was going well) a pc (win10) with AVG Internet Security is not able to connect while another pc (win10) without AVG and an android phone without AVG are able to connect. Please could you help me?
Note that when I try to fill the module for technical support after I logged as a customer the page containing this module does not consider that I am logged and tells me that the support is due only to customers!
You are welcome, Vittorio.
Please disable all components in AVG Internet Security as mentioned in this article and check the status.
If the issue persist, please uninstall AVG Internet Security as mentioned in this article.
Let us know whether the issue gets resolved or persist after uninstalling AVG.
Thank you for the information.
We request you to uninstall AVG Internet Security as mentioned in this article.
Once it is done, check the status with the internet connection.
If the issue persist, we can be 100% sure that problem wasn't due to AVG Internet Security.
You can then check with Microsoft support whether this happened due to their latest update.
First we need to check if AVG is causing this issue or not.
Once confirmed that AVG is not the reason behind this connection issue.
We can look for other possibilities.
Can you confirm that after disabling the AVG, the issue still persisted?
And also did you updated the Windows recently?
Hi Dinesh, thank you. I disabled the enhanced firewall (and windows defender automatically has become the firewall), but it did not work: I am not able to connect to wifi
If I disable all components I am vulnerable, therefore I am not confident to follow your advice. Meanwhile, the behaviour of my PC is singular: Yesterday it worked all the day without connection problem, using AVG full protection; this morning after 1 hour it started to have problem with connection. Now I am writing using a hotspot connection with a phone that it is connected with 4G, always using AVG full protection. Could it be something related to win10 or to PC wifi antenna?
Disabling AVG the issue persists. About updates: July 15 Win10, some Intel drivers July 11. Thanks again for your attention.
