I tried but it did not work. Foe some reason I think it is the AVG tune up component that is interfering because in safe mode it wanted me to start that program to allow for installation of turbo tax and I can't find how to disable that.

AVG is preventing me from installing turbo tax, how do I disable it so I can install the software?

In order to analyze it please provide us with diagnostic output (run it after inducing described behavior) using this tool and please add detailed description of issue.
