Is it possible to temporarily completely remove AVG from my computer while installing RAD Studio (Delphi) XE2?

I have strong reasons to suspect that my installation failure now is caused by the existence of AVG on my computer?

In my archives I have found a memo from years ago when a similar problem was eventually solved when I removed the protection I had at that time. The protection was probably a Norwegian product (Norton utilities) which was later bought up by AVG, or it could have been AVG itself already at that time.
Sven, we've sent you an email that offered free additional support to investigate and resolve this issue.

Thanks for your understanding in advance.

You're most welcome, Sven.
We're glad to know that you've managed to find the steps to temporarily disable the AVG program,
Also, you can add the concerned application in the AVG Exception & allow application.

Thank you, but hold it. I finally found how to disable the firewall tempøorarily.
i had to go via 'menu' and work specifically on 'firewall'.
Now I have to see if that works, if not I may have to come back for more assistance, but thanks for now
