Hi William,
We are here to help.
Does AVG block you from installing third party application?
It looks like you're trying to navigate through task bar at the bottom of the window. Please refer this article for the step by step procedure to disable AVG through system tray.

Wanting to temporally disable AVG while installing program. Found the pertinent web page. When I right-click on the AVG in the tray, all I get is an 'open' link, a 'Pin/unpin' link or a 'close window' link. The slider for protection on/off doe not appear. Is there any other way to do this..Using Windows 10
Bill,
We will look into it. Right click on AVG icon under the system tray should work, Let's try with alternate way. We recommend you to disable "Enhanced Firewall" component and check if you are able to install the programs.

Thr description I gave was about the icon in the taskbar. I can find the icon in the system tray by clicking to show more icons. When I right-click on that icon, nothing happens at all.
