The AVG icon has disappeared from my Notification area

You emailed me this link to run the tool to collect error logs and I did so back on the 20th.  Ran the tool, sent the logs, and I haven't heard a word back from anybody at AVG.  This idea of "support" is not real impressive to me.  If I don't hear from someone pretty soon I'm going to be posting bad things about AVG on Facebook and/or Twitter.  This kind of thing is ridiculous.

I am having the same problem. AVG icon is gone from the system tray. I have seen many threads on this but no solution. Do I need to start my own thread on the same issue or can someone tell me how to fix this? It doesn't seem like updates have fixed it for people?

In answer to Balasubramanian (AVG Technologies) I have AVG Antivirus Free version 16.121.7859 installed.  The framework and setup version is 1.132.2.38575.  This was installed several months ago and has always been just fine until a couple of days ago.

The other afternoon the AVG icon in my Notification area disappeared and I haven't been able to get it back.  Can anyone tell me how to get it back?  And if this community is the only support I can get from AVG I'm not real impressed with their idea of "support" for their products.

If you face any difficulties, please completely remove AVG from your computer control panel and check install the latest version of AVG AntiVirus free http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Free.

DJ, free version is available on the AVG Protection Zen program too.
On the AVG Zen interface when you click on the Protection circle do you get the AVG Free Antivirus opened up?
