Thanks for the information, but I didn't mean to ask about BOSDs.
Where can I obtain a version updated on 4/17/2018? The version downloadable here [Download Free Antivirus Software for PC | AVG Virus Protection] contains a changelog which dates the product at 2016-04-20 with a buildroot of 2015.11.1, so that isn't it.
Do you have any idea where I can get questions about this product answered?
Hello Mark,
AVG Rescue CD is a standalone set of tools that can be started from CD or USB flash disk. It can be used to recover computers that are not able to boot or are infected in a way that will not allow normal operation. May I know why are you running this tool? Are you unable to boot your PC?

Such files do not exist on the installer (unless they are part of the compressed archive arl_rootfs.ext2, which does not appear to be the case); it's no wonder they can't be found. How, under these circumstances, could anyone, anywhere, possibly install this product?
What am I missing?

Mark, Also please note that the AVG Rescue CD is actually related to the 'AVG Business products' (https://www.avg.com/en-us/download-business) [Scroll Down]. General topic info… "Business products" support… For assistance have a look @ this AVG webpage (https://support.avg.com/business_contact_form?l=en_US). Please be informed that this Community forum basically deals with 'home' version of AVG products. Furthermore the "Business products" area has now been removed from the 'Community topics' list @ the top LHS of this page. Finally please be informed that the support for "Business products" is not now available within this Community.

I recently lost a Windows 7 system to BSODs, even in safe mode. I want a tool like AVG Rescue CD so I will be prepared the next time a system becomes unbootable.
Do you have any idea why I would be getting these error messages?
@ Alan Binch
To pursue support at https://support.avg.com/business_contact_form?l=en, one must choose a product from a drop-down list. AVG Rescue CD does not appear on the list. Therefore, it is impossible to receive support from there. Do you have any other suggestions?
If AVG Rescue CD is no longer updated (it apparently has not been since 2015) and is not supported, wouldn't it be best just to stop distributing it?
BSOD can be caused with numerous reasons. BSoDs can be caused by poorly written device drivers or malfunctioning hardware, such as faulty memory, power supply issues, overheating of components, or hardware running beyond its specification limits. In the Windows 9x era, incompatible DLLs or bugs in the operating system kernel could also cause BSoDs. So we cannot determine how this Bsod error messages are occuring.
Regarding the Rescue CD, it was published on 2015 but recently it has been updated on 4/17/2018.
