Please tell me how to uninstall your product. 

1. There is no option on the mac to choose to keep it or not. In my case I got two options, block this or delete it. 
2. I asked how to uninstall your product safely. NOT how to turn off realtime protection.

Stop treating me like I'm stupid and answer my bloody question!

AVG is useless to me at this point. I wanted to run AVG but without being able to say a file isn't a threat, I can't. 

I make a disk image of a CD that has autorun files on it for windows (note these are medical records to allow me to carry them to any doctor and allow them to read my test results). You (AVG) auto "secures" this file. Now I can't burn a copy of the CD for my doctor. 

I need to know how to take AVG off my computer while getting my file back so that I can do this.

I will not reinstall until I have the ability to say that a file is NOT a threat. AVG doesn't know everything if I choose to take the risk on a file, that is my right.

Hi Dean,

If you read it carefuly you should find there all important info:



If a threat is found, the file is blocked and you will be prompted to decide if you would like to keep it or delete it. If you choose to keep the detected file, it will remain in the original location, but it will be blocked to prevent any damage it may cause.


To disable the Real Time protection:


Click the switch at the bottom of AVG AntiVirus screen.
Enter your Mac password to confirm the action.</pre>
