The speaker icon suddenly missing in the notification tray of windows taskbar

I rechecked contol panel tick box for speaker icon and this time it ticked and the speaker icon appeared. Since I just went through the optimization and deactivator process I presumed it was AVG. It might have been Windows error. Anyway it's fixed. Thank you for your amazingly fast response. Sorry to bother you.

William, Have you checked out that it's not hidden?. For info 'Google' search 'The speaker icon suddenly missing in the notification tray of windows taskbar'.

The speaker icon in the notification area of the Windows taskbar went suddenly missing. The tick box for it in control panel won't tick. Can't control volume without it. Should be an easy fix
