Hello Paul, I apologize for the inconvenience caused. I would request you to run AVG remover tool based on your OS (32-bit or 64-bit) to completely remove AVG and then re install. Running AVG AntiVirus Free (version 2015.0.6081)
Windows 7 (64-Bit) SP1
ZoneAlarm for firewall
Spybot is running in the background
(Windows firewall are not running)

About a week ago, received notice that I needed to activate components. Brought up AVG panel, and it showed red circles around Computer, Web, Identity and Email.

Also noticed PRO banner on upper right corner of Computer, Web, Email and Firewall (with note to Upgrade to Activate). Don't remember this banner from before.

Attempts to activate the components were to no avail.

Un-installed, and re-installed, and all seemed fine.

This morning, I received the same kind of notice, and once again, "There are no active components" is showing with the same results.

Updates have apparently been occuring, last update shows yesterday morning.

Attempts to run scan, thinking I needed to do the initial scan again do not work.
    - Attempts to scan computer, received Reports header with last update shown on left, black screen on right
    - Attempts ot scan selected folder, shows the drives and folders, but once selected, the Start Scan button is still greyed out.
    - Attempts to scan selected file, allow me to select the file, but no indication of scanning shows.

Any help appreciated.
