I recently had malware arrive, piggybacked on TomTomHome; AVG free caught it, but couldn't remove it from the virus vault. I also have a subscription to AVG pc tuneup, but it can't purge the malware either. I want to get rid of all of the AVG pieces and try BitDefender instead, but AVG leaves stuff all over my laptop that won't uninstall, even with Revo uninstaller, and BitDefender won't install because of the conflict. I really don't want to do a complete operating system reinstall just to dump AVG. Any suggestions?
