Thank you for sharing the screenshots, Miguel.
May I know at what instance you are getting this threat notification?
Is it while browsing in any particular browser or accessing any application?
If you think that the website is safe and secure, then we request you to submit the URL for analysis through this https://www.avg.com/false-positive-file-form website for analysis.
If it is confirmed as safe, it will be whitelisted and the virus definitions database will be released through update.
You will also get the status updated via email.
Thank you.
HI Midhun,
Thank you. I used today the additional support and the issue has been resolved.
Thanks again.
Miguel
My AVG Internet Security software reported yesterday four simultaneous "Threat blocked" messages for websites infected with URL:Scam. Two of the threats apparently occurred on a connection attempt to devaluationlimetreedeadly.com and the other 2 on a blocked connection to telephoneinclination.com.
I did not try to access any of these websites. Does this point to a virus infection that I'm not aware of, which is trying to download something from these websites in the background? The AVG full scan yesterday did not find any.
Does anyone have a similar experience?
Thanks
HI Sreenu,
As I mentioned in my original post:
telephoneinclination.com
I don't know anything about these websites; never have used them. I'm assuming they are not secure as they cause this action by AVG. As I mentioned in my latest reply, I searched to find out what the first one was and that triggered a few AVG Block Threat notifications.
With regards to the kind of activity I was doing when the initial AVG notifications occurred, I did not become aware of the 'blocks' until later. So I'm not sure what particular websites I was accessing at that moment (definitely not the ones that caused the problem). While I have also Chrome and Edge, I normally use Firefox, so most probably I was also using Firefox at the time of the problem.
My main concern is: Why is AVG reporting problems with websites that I am NOT using. Is there any virus inside my computer that is maliciously trying to access them? Just before posting this reply I did another full scan of my computer and AVG found no threats or viruses.
Hope this adds some of the information you requested.
Kind regards
Miguel
