Hi,

I have a Macbook pro for which I downloaded AVG anti-virus protection. I did a routine scan and following threat was detected:

JS:Nimda-B [Trj]

When I selected "protect me" I got message: "Cannot move to quarantine" so I selected "delete" and got message: "Some files cannot be deleted, sorry, some infected files cannot be deleted, but we've safely blocked access them"

My question therefore: What is this JS:Nimda-B threat? And how can I completely remove it from my Macbook pro?

The same thing is happening to my mac. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. What can we do to remove this virus?

Thank you for the screenshot. We need to collect error logs from your computer to escalate this case to the senior team. Please follow the below steps and navigate to the location and copy and paste the logs to a different file and attach the file here. So that we can check the same and escalate this case.

System logs: /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports
User logs: ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports
AVG System logs: /Library/Logs/com.avg.Antivirus
AVG User logs: ~/Library/Logs/com.avg.Antivirus
Detection and VV logs: /Library/Application Support/com.avg.Antivirus
