We regret to hear that you are unable to remove infections in a virus scan. Please share a screenshot ( https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201361 ) of AVG scan results, version of Mac OS you are using and the version of AVG app to assist you further.
To find out the version you can follow user manual, part 4.3. Menu in the task bar
