Threat report for same file 50 times/day!

I have used AVG on my Macs for years.  I had a catastrophic hardware problem with my iMac, had it repaired and had reinstall some software (I don't back up easily installed programs).  But this version - Version 2015.0 (4816) - is a trainwreck!

I am gwetting repeated threat detections...then when I decided to try blocking and quarantine repeated "threats blocked " popups - for a Firefox prefs.js javascript file.  The path is so long I can't post it - but it is absolutwely identical every time.  I have tried every solution to stop these obnoxious, useless AVG popups but to no avail.  I hope nsomeone has 1) a solution, and 2) an explanation as to why a benign file is being flagged (I have ZERO adware/malware popups, which is AVG's so-called explanation for why the file is picked up by th software.

i've checked the "do this..." box, blocked, made exceptions, clicked "protect me" - NO difference.  Oh, great - 4 more "blocked" notices just showed up while I was typing this - ising Chrome (Firefox isn't even OPEN!).

If no solution can be found withing a day I'm done with AVG permanently on all my equipment.  This is ridiculous!

If anyone bothered to actually read my p[odst, a screenshot is useless.  The path to the file is so long it cannot be shown in the non-resizable popup widow - so all that5 would be posted is the til end...or very beginning.  Because no one seems to "get it" I'll post it anyway.:

Popup window one every few seconds when AVG is active.  The entire path cannot be posted as there is no way to copy-and-paste a t4ext string inside a popup window created by AVG.
OK, screen shot posted 4 days ago and no responses from the community or AVG since.

I have no idea why the version was requeasted when it was clearly noted in my original post; but for the sake of excercise, it has upodated to Version 2015.0 (4818).

And there has been no change.  If any Mozilla product it opened during a session and then either left opened or closed I still get endless repetetive popup warnings.  And, to repeat meself - the screenshot CAN'T SHOW THE ENTIRE FILE PATH!  In AVG's infinite wisdon they don't allow popup windows to be expanded of contents copied as text - so to address Gulam, YOU make it impossible to provide what YOU want!

I've been holding out on deletion because it's always been a fine fine product.  I do not understand the current problem, but this is a freshly service, reformatted and reinstalled-from-scratch 18 month old iMac, so it's not crammed with years of crap.

Does ANYONE have an idea of how to eliminate these endless popups (up to 53 since I started typing!)?  Or am I exeperiencing one of two problems - the deterioration of AVG's support, or simply an abandoned product not really being upgraded/corrected (making other users unable to answer questions), rendering this forum useless?

Please click on the following link (http://avgclick.me/AVGtechnical) and fill out your details, select as Mac OS then the name of AVG Program that you installed in your device and in description please completely explain about your issue and finally click on the 'Start Chat' option. You will start a live, online chat with one of the AVG agents.
