I tried accessing the same PDF in both Firefox (my default) and Chrome, and both of them gave me the same threat pop-up.
I checked with other campaigns we have sent to see if I could get PDF. We put out two different types of newsletters. One, the monthly "e-Note" is long (20 pages or so) and it was one of these that got the threat pop-up. The other is a weekly UPDATES and is usually only 1 page in length. When I tried to get a PDF of other campaign e-Notes, none of them gave me the threat pop-up. Only the one I originally sent you. Some of the other e-Notes gave me a pink pop-up that read "! Error, campaign generation failed. Please try again later." And the e-Note we sent in January opened in PDF just fine. ALL of the UPDATES newsletters opened in PDF with no problem.
I will now attach the pop-up details as 2 photos - one in Firefox and one in Chrome.

Hi Charles.
Did you receive this file in an attachment through email?
Are you receiving the threat detection message when you download the file from email? Or when you try to open it after you saved it on your local storage?
Good morning, I have the exact same problem, everything is the same. except that the search engine is Google. how can I reset?
I'm being blocked from opening a PDF file generated by Constant Contact, and AVG is telling me:
"We've aborted connection on campaign-thumbnail.constantcontact.com because it was infected with PDF:Phishing-D [Trj]"
Several others have checked the file and say it doesn' have a virus - they can open it fine. What can I do?

Thank you for explaining in detail, Chuck.
I suggest you to try accessing the same PDF file in different browser and monitor if you receive the same threat pop-up.
Also, please confirm if you receive the same for all PDF files in that particular browser.
We request you to click on 'See details' and share us the screenshot to locate the path of the detection.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on "Answer" & then click on the "Image" [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Thank you for the screenshot, Charles.
I see that the threat is coming from the Mozilla Firefox browser.
I request you to reset you browser to remove the threat.
Select the 'Reset Firefox' button at the top right of the new Web page.
Select 'Reset Firefox'in the confirmation pop-up window.
